Schneider Electric Customers Recieve Special Recognition at Data and Asset Management Software User Conference

Duke Energy, CF Industries, South Carolina Electric & Gas, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and National Grid Awarded for Innovative Use of Avantis and Wonderware Solutions

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Nov. 17, 2015 – Schneider Electric Software, a global leader in industrial software and part of Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, recognized several of its customers at the Software User Conference for Avantis, eDNA, EBS and PRiSM products in Chicago. Several awards were presented for original and advanced uses of Schneider Electric Software solutions.

The Avantis PRiSM Catch of the Year was awarded to Duke Energy for early identification of a steam turbine rotor issue, estimated at several million in savings. CF Industries received the Avantis.PRO Asset Excellence Award for incorporating new functionalities that have enabled the company to achieve significant cost savings through streamlining processes, aggregated sourcing and performance analysis.

South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) received the eDNA Innovation Award for best real-time data management infrastructure. SCE&G has an impressive display of dynamic eDNA View screens in their operations and control room in addition to a “reliability wallboard” for improved situational awareness.

The award for Best eDNA View Display was presented to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission for creating a comprehensive display that shows the vital indicators for water storage, flow, power and quality across sites in one highly informative screen.

National Grid was presented with the eDNA Most Creative Custom Application Award for development of a custom application that displays projected solar and wind forecasts, in addition to voltage forecasts. The application enables engineers to see current and near term future trends at a glance.

“Our customers continue to amaze us year after year with advanced applications of our software that enable them to solve business challenges, control expenditures and improve overall operations,” said Rob McGreevy, Vice President of Information, Operations and Asset Management at Schneider Electric. “The awards ceremony provides us an opportunity to thank them for their continued support and feedback while also allowing peers to learn from each other by discussing how they achieve the greatest value from their software investments through unique applications, custom displays, or simply making full use of a product’s native capabilities.”

Schneider Electric hosts several user conferences each year for various products within the software portfolio, including Wonderware North America, IntelaTrac User Group and SimSci Simulation for Business Excellence, among others.
